Well, yes, ultimately. But for those who believe in one sky fairy or another is what I guess I meant.

I think on a personal level it's about fear. Think about how chaotic and random life can be, now imagine there's a guy with a beard controlling everything, and everything happening for a reason (christ I hate when people say that).

Brainwashing from the day your born (apart from ex alkies and addicts that find god later in life)
I was lucky my forced indoctrination into Religion ended when I was 5 and I was allowed to think for myself

when I went to High school I was excused RE because I disrupted the class by questioning everything about it
and as I had to spend my RE time in the Library I used it to good use to study science and astronomy

My sentiments also. In fact "Jesus" wasn't even born on this date. Another hijacking of what we had before "Christianity". Its a few weeks off for everyone so do whatever suits your beliefs.
