Mrs has got a parking ticket at work. Apparently, the gate is an unused entrance to the company car park and people always park there with no issues, except the one day she got there.
It is double yellows, but I’m not sure where the property boundary is. I’m guessing it’s the gate, which means it’s a fair cop.
She works at a solicitors, so I’ve told her to ask one of them on money if she can wiggle out of it.

Council or PPC ticket? Looks like they've been lucky previously. If it's council just cough up.

It's quite likely the gate is recessed from the true boundary so as to minimise blocking the road if vehicles wait to be admitted.
You can see an angled piece both sides.
However the double yellows suggest the short bit of road is maintained by the council.

If something needs doing e.g. drainage issue they will sometimes claim adjacent landowner is responsible right up to the hard surface.

It is a council ticket, so we can’t just ignore it.
At least it’s only £35, not the end of the world.

You're on a double yellow and for £35 I wouldn't bother fighting a council one to be honest.

If you really want decent advice as the lads on Pepipoo and put up the photo too.
