https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/first-rides-tests/motorini-mt125rri/

So in summary:
Looks nice.
Very cheap to buy.
Crap suspension.
Crap brakes.
Crap engine power output.
Crap build quality.
Not very reliable.

Depreciation curve practically vertical drop and who knows what's going to happen with parts.

Great bargain advice MCN, really - give yourselves a pat on the back.

9.4 bhp Shocked wow as much as that!
A genuine 58 mph, wow that fast!

I’m gonna guess that they won’t sell to many of them.

Why such a wishy washy power output?, is it to do with Euro-bollox?

I’ll bet my old Honda CG 125 of lovelyness could keep up with that Smile

10hp-ish seems to be standard for Chinese 125s.

There does seem to be a hole in the market for full-power 125s that would appeal to the 17-19 year olds, or even as a more usable cheap commuter for people who have a bigger toy in the garage for sunny day fun.

I agree.
Puzzling that there seems to be no 15 bhp 125’s around?

We get the by-blow of the Chinese market. I believe that they have 125s and 150s over there, with the 150s being the "premium" end of the market.

So why would they produce 11kW 125s?

That review is hilarious though. "Peppy"? At least that "very long action throttle" means you won't highside it by dialling in all that power at once.

Oh, the fuel economy is awful as well. I get over 80mpg out of my Enfield, and close to 80 out of the Ninja 250.

Have MCN ever ridden a bike that they didn't just love.

Once you've striped down a Japanese engine and introduced massive tolerances, that's all you get.

MCN reviews depend on what side of bed the reviewer got out of. For example: www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/yamaha/wr250x/2008/

Not at all. It's just the manufacturers not wanting to waste money on R&D. Thumbs Up
