Anyone bought anything in the sales?

I had a good look at them all and saw some crazy reductions but I didn't get anything.

The only item I would of bought would of been the TCX cube boots but sadly couldn't get my size.. Down from 120 to 77 quid...

I had to laugh at that, 69quid reduced from 149... so they were over priced in the first place..

A lot of sales tend to be products that are made out to have a big discount, whereas the reality is the original price is actually the RRP, so you're probably paying the same as everywhere else after they've taken their "discount" off.

For this reason, I usually look up online prices as I'm looking at a product in the store.

Amazon are pretty bad for using RRP's that you would never pay.

Look at this.....

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Henry-Jay-Stainless-Specialty-Professional/dp/B01N7QIT9N/ref=gbps_img_m-5_1a75_bc255cb5?smid=A31CD1AFIOT9K2&pf_rd_p=2d281ba4-72d6-4610-97a1-ff6f4c7d1a75&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=118857031&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=4FRHN34VQF2YS8JK18ZA

If anyone paid £795 for that watch they should be taken out and buggered to death by a mountain gorilla for their abject stupidity.

That particular product isn't actually sold by Amazon, it's supplied and the price set by a third party seller. Amazon just store it and ship it when the orders come in.

3 camels is a useful website for tracking the price of anything on Amazon over time, here's that watch as an example:

I've been keeping an eye out for a decent BMW GS. Yet to find one for the right price.

Not bike related but got 10 litres Shell Helix Ultra Professional 5w30 and a Bosch oil filter for the van via ECP today for £39.
That should do a change and leave me with a good slug for top ups. It's going in for new rear discs and pads soon and thought
it may as well get an oil change too while it's up in the air.

10 litres of oil(fully synthetic) , plus a bosch oil filter.

Hope he didn't rush in case he missed eurocarparts "sale" though! But definitely a reasonable price.

I’ve already mentioned this in the 20% off eBay thread, but I managed to get a set of Alpinestars Motegi V2 leathers for £335 using the 20% off eBay code. The RRP is £749.99, so I’m pretty chuffed with the deal I got.

Oh, I also got an HJC RPHA 11 helmet for £249.99 (RRP £320). To be honest, I bought the helmet in November but the place I got it from did quite a discount for me despite having to order it in specially, so I thought it worth a mention!

Prices always change on there.

You can get the oil for £19.89 including delivery for 5 litres on carparts4less (eurocarparts cheaper site), so 2 of those plus a filter is realistic.

It's not so much the size, more the violence.

It's not going to be "first time gentle", is it?
