Nice. I had visions of not much after you rectifying the bodges from the 'trades'people. Thumbs Up

Yeah... It would have been more ☹️

Doesn't mean much as the houses are more expensive due to the location. Basically a sideways move. Sick of being isolated on top of a mountain

It has its downsides. Especially with young kids.

Me either, I'd have finished it and then mugged it off as the profits will have undoubtedly been greater
giving me more options going forward. Then again, I have no kids or job to speak of so can rough it pretty much indefinitely.
Wouldn't be the first time my bed has been a stack of plasterboard. Hope you find what you're looking for in the new place Bubbs. Thumbs Up

It's partly because of all that that we are moving. It's been tainted, fallen out of love with the place. Plus there are a lot of other reasons not to stay in the local area.

Going to move to a really cool town which is closer to beaches, other towns and cities, transport links, on the doorstep to the beacons, closer to climbing areas, 20mins from downhill bike trails and a number of other things that makes life much simpler.

The new property wont need any renovating, it's complete and we love it.

Fuckin-ay!

Looking at Striples at the moment... it's been nearly 4 years without a bike. I'll be on the A40 pretty much, it's going to be perfect.

Yes! Just up the road, can't seem to find a mention of dates on the website, do they know when this is set to take place yet?

Balls...

However a future BCF BBQ at the farm can coincide with this event and we could do a 4 day break to include watching the racing.. that would be sweet.

2020 BCF BBQ at the Bubbs Farm!!

Two lessons have been highlighted here:

1. Don't employ anybody you can't afford to fall out with.

2. If somebody is prepared to work days for no pay, there is probably a good reason why they have so much spare time on their hands.

I grew up on the side of a mountain between Llandeilo and Llandovery, up in the hills north of Llanwrda. Small world.

If you've not already been there, check out Carreg Cennen - castle just outside Llandeilo. Up the hill past Tregib.

Sorry to hear it all went sideways enough to sour the place for you but I can kind of understand. Just sat here laughing as I remember a time as a kid when going into Llandeilo felt like a visit to the big city Laughing

Yes, I know it well mate. Carreg Cennen is walking distance from where I grew up and where I live now. I almost bought a house in Llanwrda but thought it was a bit too far out of the way.

Where are you living these days?

Congrats Bubbs!

A project that ultimately finished well and lots of positives (probably a lot of negatives, but always can take from those too as it sounds like you have).

Llandeilo is quite a change, exciting times!

Striple was made for Welsh roads!

Looking forward to pics of new house and bike Smile

EDIT:

Welsh Road Race cancelled for 2018

The Welsh road races have been 'postponed' until 2019 anyway. Some F*ckup on the side of the organisers. They did not get authorisation from the ACU before proceeding, and then when they went to do it the ACU said "WHAT? There's far too little time to organise THAT!"

There have been accusations of fraud on the part of the organisers due to them taking pre-orders for tickets and camping...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Might see if the old man would let a load of hairy bikers on his farm for the road race 2019 date. Would be a cool way to fill the daytime and have a BBQ at night.
