evening folks,

so in the past, we've managed some silly cheap ferries with the car, as little as £28 return several times, and once, £18 return after some cashback.

cheapest I can find at the moment for the bike is £42.50 return. or £80 for the car (by the by, it's for a bike trip)

have ferries gone up by that much in the past couple of years? or am I missing a trick?

*edit to add: looking at dover - dunkirk crossings.

Overnight stays are still cheap - if you want to stay longer then it get dear. 42 quid return is still pretty cheap IMO. I paid 15 quid one way as a foot passenger in 1987..

Stena line have just announced their sale which has saved me around £70 from earlier quotes. If you go to the bike shows Britanny ferries often give out flyers with discount on but these are time limited.
