Riiiiiight... So little did I know how much University would take over my entire life.
I wanted to say 'hia!' and a) let you know I'm not dead and b) vent my frustrations at a lack of riding time.
My bike is dead.
It's been sat in the garage since I moved to this crazy little town and I have no power in said garage, so the battery is kaput.
I legitimately had a dream last night where I push started the damn thing.
I'm desperate. I miss my bike. And the Ducati battery is a pain in the ass to get to... So I'll be trying to do that today. I got a wall charger... thing. Please keep your fingers crossed for me?
If anyone in the Gloucestershire area feel like being a helpful hero and helping me deal with the thing that may well turn into a pile of bits if this anger doesn't die down and get solved.... Then cool Especially as I think I may need to deal with that bloody stripped bolt in order to get at the battery...
I want my bike back!!
... That is all.
Happy New Year all you crazy whatsits. |

Is it under the tank? I feel your pain (from the MT-03) It was quicker to take the bike for a ride than remove the battery for a charge. |

Many bike chargers like optimates (and my basic halfords one come to think on it) come with flying leads you can leave attached to the battery terminals with a plug on the other end which you route to somewhere convenient so it's easy to plug in.
Even if you don't have one, it might be an idea to make up a flying lead you can use to plug a charger into. You'd only really need one off the positive terminal, the neg can clip to the frame if the battery is connected. Just make sure the "flying" end is well insulated. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Can't you bump start bikes any more? Does the FI have to prime now with these non carbed bikes before they will bump? ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Fit a lead for a maintenance charger while you're in their and drop it out somewhere convenient so you never have to repeat the exercise. CTEK make some good ones and they come with all the leads made up and properly protected , available at Amazon for the right kind of money.https://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-XS-0-8-12V-1-2A/dp/B004RADNCQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1516704446&sr=8-2&keywords=ctek+charger |
