Prosecco is quite clearly for plebs.
I'm quite disappointed you think I am capable of enjoying it.

I could do with a home cooked dinner, though.
Last one I had was with la famiglia MCW on New Years Eve Thinking

Supposed to be going for a Chinese with the Russian this evening, its a sort of sit-down meal, isn't it. Had a girlie dinner out with her last weekend, but was whacked off my head on an E, so although I ordered a nice pork Sunday-roast, I didn't have much of an appetite for anything other than cocktails Laughing

I got a haircut yesterday and then one of those phone cases to go around your arm when you run and some bluetooth headphones today. Cheap ones so they will probably break the first time I use them but I thought I would give it a go.

I paid for a fuckin third of a Chinese meal.

It was extremely tasty, mainly an assortment of green things with rice or garlic, and the other two girls had ordered chicken and pork, but seeing as how her Ladyship eschewed my preferred choice of crispy duck, I had little alternative but to order beef with ginger and spring onions, which was very nice. Everything was muchly garlic.

We split the bill three ways, and her Ladyship refused to leave a tip because she fell out with the Chinese waiter by (unwittingly) insulting him.

Brick Wall

She called him over at some point whilst we were waiting, and asked him how come everyone else had prawn crackers but we did not.

He said that it was because they had ordered them and we had not. So (thinking she was in a Chinese TAKEAWAY where you get free prawn crackers with every meal - and not a Chinese restaurant which requires different levels of diplomacy) she told him he was "a very naughty man". I could have fallen into a hole in the floor from embarrassment. Don't insult Chinese on their own homeground. Jesus!!

He went very strange on her, and was about to go into full Wong Kei mode, when I managed to smooth it all over by saying "Oh yes, we'd like to order some as well, then, please", and smiling ingratiatingly at him, whereas she was shifting into Little Miss Uppity mode. Luckily he accepted my offer of civilized conversation instead of her Nouveau Riche Biche ignorant Russian dreck Rolling Eyes

Honestly!

Two pieces of MDF and several boxes of marble effect lino tiles, which I Machiavelled my ex into coming over and putting down for me - despite that he's a bit of a tosher, so some of them might need sticking down with adhesive spray - but, in general, the hellkat-cheering-up effect of finally having complete flooring in my flat is exactly what I wanted.

It's a bit annoying really as I already have a clamp meter but it only measures A.C. amps and I need D.C. amps as well.

Thank god for cheap Chinese tat. Thumbs Up

An Oxfordshire 28 day aged rib eye steak and a bottle of Carmenere. Sounds a lot grander than it actually is, since I'm in t'pub, oop north, trying not to look conspicuously like a southerner.

Picked up this Line 6 spider 2 150w guitar amplifier on eBay for 100 ponds

https://s17.postimg.org/cue4p5cwv/20180123_203604.jpg

Not an absolutely stonking amplifier, but a darn load better than a 15w practice one.

And a stand for my axe
