I mean as a first bike the experience has been great! I will definitely be moving on soon though to a 500+ when I can do so. And to a Japanese brand most likely. A Honda CB500F is on the table as well as an MT07/SV650

You are of course aware that you could have had any of those 3 bikes now on your current A2 licence (restricted)?

I have to question the logic of buying a new, expensive 300cc BMW that you have explicitly stated that you don't intend to hang on to for long.

Have you considered what it will be worth in resale value?

I think my definition of soon (2 Years+) is vastly different to your guys definition of soon 😂😂

I do not mean to mislead.. however what I previously mentioned is what I will go to next. Either that or get the full A licence and go for a 1000 of some kind. Super Duke 1290 does take my fancy a bit.

Take a pic of your bike with a packet of custard on it, or we don't believe you've got one at all.

Only if you're snorting it off the seat.

I wouldn't be any hurry to ditch the Beemer. The specs look quite fun - I commute on less of a bike because it's a laugh compared to a biggun.

One thing you could do when your purgatory is up is to buy a 600cc+ 40-70kW 180kg+ bike and "restrict" it down to 35kW for your A2. Then just book your A tests directly yourself, rock up on your bike and "derestrict" it in the test centre car park. No need to go via a training school again, although it does somewhat limit your choice of bikes.
