Lubes your helmet to make it easier to rub yourself off.

https://armchairbiker.com/joining-the-jet-set-1074-miles-with-bikejet/

Comes with "bukkake button" Thumbs Up

Verdict: it actually works. Shocked

Sadly, the stable genius behind it has been focussing on developing a functional product, rather than setting up ways to scam monies out of us, so you can't throw your life savings away just yet.

Srsly though, why get the review copy out before you're ready to take advantage of the publicity? Doh!

This is probably not a problem when people can monitor progress via social media and web pages. Rainpal's marks have been queuing excitedly and for the most part patiently for 4 years now. No one has even requested a refund, honest.

It's always raining here so no need for me so far this millennium, but I do find it funny that the Aaronses would consider this a mortal danger to all motorcyclist, and could not get their heads around why smearpal (aka bikejet) exists.

Somebody would deliberately get their visor wet!
Ah hang on, the inventor actually rides bikes you say.

Th current advertising campaign / reviews etc are just to raise awareness ready for when the kickstarter goes live. Smile

The aaronseseses are a bit weird if they consider this competition for scampal. 1) this actually exists so if anything - an upcoming rainpal would be competition for BikeJet... however - see point 2.

2) they are not even remotely similar 😂 Even assuming jizzpal existed, his pitiful 20ml manual spray shite wouldn't last 10miles.

Peace out Smile

Ps they can fill them with whatever they want if they buy one. Smile

I hope you're not uber-estimating the intardtubes' attention span, is all.

If you like, I can call you up with some reasonable questions, record you shrieking autistically down the phone, then set up a parody site to keep interest going.

By "I", I of course mean "Ste".

The thing is, nobody really cares until they can actually buy one. Razz

"BikeJet is still in development so the final tweaked production model is still to be revealed, but once it is the company will be running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a first production run where early adopters will be able to snag one for £12.99 – half the predicted £24.99 RRP. I’ll post a link when they go live in February/March."

How much do you need to raise?

1-1

So each person that contributes on kickstarter will fund their own individual BikeJet.

Any profit will go towards getting BikeJet injection moulded.

Most - yes. Whats your question?

That means the people who back your crowdfunding will get the 'cheapo' 3D printed version and anyone who holds fire will be able to buy the higher quality plastic injected version.

Dunno, it just doesn't seem quite right. Confused

Could it be done so that if the £10k target isn't reached then backers will get the 3D printed version and if it is reached then backers will get the plastic injected version?

That way people who back it will get bikejet and it will be launched. If the £10k target isn't reached then bikejet will still have been launched and it'll just require a little bit of thinking to figure out how to afford the plastic injected version.

I can just see people seeing the 10k target, thinking that's unrealistic and never going to happen so they just close the browser tab and forget all about bikejet.

3d printed is v1.0, plastic injected will v2.0 plus you'd also get feedback on the 3D printed version prior to making the step up the having it made by plastic injection.

It's kind of a little bit like Adam having grand plans for rainpal with cameras attached before he's got the very basic version working.

Well first off - it's nothing like the Adams scam Smile let's get that out of the way. Smile

Also just because there is potentially another version of something available in 18 months time - that doesnt stop you getting it now? Or we would never buy anything! 👍

The 3D printed one isn't cheapo.. it's exactly the same as injection moulding but is more expensive for me to produce. It's not a lesser model.

I'll just see how it goes, nothing can be done now with the target or plan so there's no point ripping it apart tbh.

If it works - it works. If it doesn't - I'll reassess and try other options. 👍

Mine's in. Posted on the other one then remember My Hawkeye isn't responding on that thread Razz

Hawkeye - supposing the campaign doesn't meet it's target in the allotted time; Will you keep a record of those that have pledged now and honour the introductory/early prices at the time of release?

Ah! Good point. Me too. In that case;

Are the pledges the right way round? The more you contribute, the later you get something in the post. For example,

Quote:
Earlybird Platinum, £13 to send a BikeJet + liquid, estimated July.
Earlybird Premium, £18 to send a BikeJet + liquid, estimated August.

I know it's to back a project, not primarily to buy a product, but it seems odd to me. Also don't most campaigns differentiate the levels of pledge with small additions, say a newsletter, stickers, (photos of wife/girlfriend for BCF Wink ) or whatever?

Is there any difference between premium and platinum other than the price?

From what I could see, no. And I like value for money - Platinum for me. And it sounds all modern and futuristicy Razz

All good questions.

The campaign is rewarding early adopters, so the earlier people get on board - the better their deal and the earlier they get a BikeJet.

No difference Ste. Just that the earlier ones will run out (hopefully!)

Cheers Ian. 👍

I had nothing extra to give... I toyed with the idea of key rings or stickers but I thought it was a bit gimmicky ... so the incentives for backing now are simply getting a BikeJet earlier than anyone else. 👍

Edit : yes anyone that pledges on the kickstarter will have the price honoured.

Awesome sauce.

If the incentives are delivery/time based, then Jimbo raises a good point - the higher the value of the pledge, the longer you seem to have to wait for delivery. The delivery time increases by a month on each pledge up to £31 (Multi-bike special), and then the waiting time starts decreasing by the month.
