Via Bennetts of course, if someone claiming to be a broker initiates contact with you and offers you cover, hang up and scream for a grown up. I guess if you use Failbook and such, you should watch out for it as well. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I'd bet the callers have an 'accent'. /mpd72
Well, the 'genuine' ones have been ramping up the prices gradually year by year. At 19 my first car cost me 600 to insure
for the first year (Mark 2 Escort I gave 400 quid for). A mate of mine who is the same age as me only took his test two
years ago, he's been successfully scrounging lifts for over 20 years the git. At age 44 his first years cover on a 2009 1.4
Corsa was in excess of 3k living in semi rural Essex. The industry have made this happen by wringing every penny possible
from the motorist at every possible juncture. 30 quid to change a reg number is my most recent raping, (on a policy that
cost 170 quid in the first place) I never got any new documents, nothing was posted, nothing was printed yet they thought
that charge proportionate. They won't be my insurer next time round, but they don't give a toss the next mug will be
along in a minute as we can't vote with our feet and boycott the whole shizzle because we HAVE to have that cover. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

A guy I worked with was moaning about his 3k quote, I asked him what level of cover it was, he said third party. I told him to check fully comp' and he was then quoted a grand |
