Hello everyone! I'm in need of dire help, I did a huge strip down of my 1991 ZXR 400, changed the cam chain, fuel filters, tank seals, carb clean down and everything but my HT leads were absolutely piss poor.

They were corroded and one HT lead actually melted halfway down and just snapped. Now the bike wouldn't start, some of the fuel lines were crimped and I was positive that everything was put back into the correct Timing, I went out this morning and the bike nearly went, but the spark is just too bad.

After not being able to find HT leads for the ZXR 400 I was thrown onto a thread onto ZXR World with a 2007 CBR 600RR conversion that works, improves the sparks and makes the bike idle and run better.

Now with this conversion you have to chop the block connector off, this is the block connector with the wires still attached

The only issue that I've found is that diagram doesn't tell me anything (Might just be me)

He wrote

Now I don't know what he meant by "patch leads" unless someone can tell me.

Now the ZXR 400 has two wires for each Ignition Coil (Being 2).

Plugs 1-4 are Red and Black
Plug 1 connects to Red
Plug 4 connects to Black

Plugs 2-3 are Red and Green

Plug 2 connects to Green
Plug 3 connects to Red

CBR 600rr Loom

Plugs 1-4 are Mixed
Plug 1 is Yellow with Red and Black
Plug 4 is Yellow with White and Black
Plug 2-3 are Mixed
Plug 2 is Blue with Red and Black
Plug 3 is Blue with Black and Black

A warning, I have guessed the order which CBR 600 plug is in unsure if it is actually 1, 2, 3, 4

Now I have also guessed that 1 is the furthest away from the block connector and the one closest to the connect is 4, both sharing the same colors of Red with Yellow (I believe.)

Now the block connector

2x Red & Yellow
2x Blue & Red
2x Black

Here is an additional picture of his finished piece, but I couldn't match where everything went to

As you can tell from the CBR wiring there are 6 wires, in which I do not know where they go, if I figure that out then my old man will be able to help me and I might be able to get the bike started to take the misses out on the back as the good weathers coming in.

Is anyone able to help me suss this out? Hopefully I've got the new plugs in the relevant order I just need to know where they go!
