I have a Suzuki 400 bandit engine with running gear but no bike, I am trying to get the engine running on a stand.

I have compression, spark and have completely rebuilt the carbs.

There are two inlet pipes on the carbs, I’m almost certain the bottom one is for the fuel??

The carbs are vacume mikuni and wonder if the top inlet was for vacume and where it should go???

As far as I recall, on the carb to head inlet, there is a vacuum point, cylinder 1 maybe.

What I'd also say is it may run right for about a day... After that you'll want to bin it.

Fuel pipe goes on the one heading to the bowl...

I can’t find the inlet anywhere, there is a pipe that connects to the air filter box but nothing else!!

Are they a temperamental engine?? It was removed from a K reg, Suzuki RF400.

I got it just to tinker with and learn the ropes.
