I don't actually follow what you're saying. Are you saying a) a Vespa looks nicer, or b) handles better, or c) has better performance or d) that it also has anti dive?

a) I think I might have to concede point a)
b) I doubt it will handle better. (Having said that, I have never ridden one, but I met a guy at the filling station one time who was on a Vespa, and I asked him if it handled. And he said 'Giz a bag of crisps'
c) A Vespa 125 weighs 105kg and goes 62mph. This weighs 80kg and goes 80mph. My bike might have more power, but its a lot lighter and a lot of the top speed is due to being more aerodynamic.
d) true

You're probably saying all of those things aren't you? Maybe a nice bullet shaped fairing would make it look nicer and go even faster Laughing

I'm saying it looks a lot like a Vespa front wheel suspension setup with a stretched wheelbase.

Well its just a trailing link suspension really. Trailing link suspension pre- dates tellies I think.

I read somewhere that a Vespa 250 does about 80mph like my bike, so maybe it's a better comparison than the 125 version. But that weighs 146 kg compared with my 80 kg. Do you not think I must be doing something right? Shocked

I do! I said I like what you've done. What's your background? How did you get into engineering such devices?
