Did you clean the caliper pistons before you pushed them back in? Also, you say you had to bleed the system, but I'm going to ask anyway, are you sure there isn't too much of the brake fluid in the system?
If you didn't clean the pistons, then take the pads out, use the master cylinder to push the pistons out a bit and clean them. Use brake proper cleaners only! WD40 and other stuff swells the seals = no good.
Proper operation of the caliper: When you apply the brake and then let go of the pedal/lever, the pistons of your caliper should go out quite effortlessly and then as you release the brake pedal/lever they should go back in a bit. Take the caliper off, take the pads out and watch the pistons do the trick.
