I've recently got myself a DSLR. Nothing special, just want to take some better pictures than the point and shoot that I've been using for the last 10 years or so.

And I was wondering what forums that you use or would you recommend for sharing pics and learning stuff about cameras and photography, etc?

________

In addition to this, (also camera/photography related so I'll keep it in the same thread).

I have also acquired a couple of broken lenses (which don't fit my camera) and an old broken camera. I was wondering if there was a forum which would be able to give advice on how to repair these if at all possible? The aperture blades seem to be stuck on the camera and one of the lenses and I cannot even see aperture blades on the other lense, but it rattles when you shake it. Are these items only fit for the bin?

Depends on what model your camera is.

TalkPhotography is one of the biggest ones, from past memory. There's niche forums for your brand too, more than likely.

PS. Gordon Ramsay isn't a world class chef because of his pans. Laughing

Flickr probably has a group related to your camera or lenses, or something else that interests you (e.g. bikes Very Happy )
You can learn a lot just looking at what others do, what does/doesn't work for you.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 6 years, 25 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
