Consensus on what to get seems to be, well, anything small. It's a toy, and therefore doesn't greatly matter.

It's much the same story with cars here, really. Nobody has anything new and shiny, and not everyone drives a ultra utilitarian LR Defender. Most just buy something cheap and move on.

There are some good suggestions here. Personally, I'd prefer to plump for something not entirely sh*t, given that in most cases, something at least marginally desirable can be bought for the same money or less, though quite how far up the scale of desirability I go I can't decide. Something that's done most of it's depreciating seems like a good option. I'll also need to have a think about whether or not it's something I'd want to drag over to the mainland, or just use to lap the island.

Perhaps I'll just have to wait and see what comes available for peasant money. Fingers crossed it's a Hayabusa, R1 or Fireblade Cool

I agree with most posters that a motorbike is somewhat pointless, but since when did that stop people buying them.

A Grom seems like a decent shout.

TBH I'd just buy myself a boat instead, and surround myself (house/garden/shed) with broken Stevo tuned outboard motors, and various other shite I'd messed about with with my die grinder set. Laughing
