Back in 2015 I sold my old and slightly battered ZX7R

https://s19.postimg.org/glp12vyir/IMAG0186.jpg

I crashed it on track, managed to replace the front fairing and plastic weld the side panel to a "good enough" state, but it was running horribly fueling wise, even after going back to a stock system. I decided to sell it and rid myself of the burden. I have been pining since.

I have owned a couple of bikes in the mean time, a 2013 Street Triple R and a ZRX1200R, but I decided that all I wanted was another ZX7R.

So after my ZRX going tuesday, I picked this up yesterday. here it is before I rode it home.

Loads of service history, 23k on the clock, completely standard aside the stainless exhaust, dark double bubble and spazzos (which I'll probably change to originals).

It runs lovely, the brakes astonishingly work very well, my previous 6 pots were hanging and I decided it was cheaper to replace with Nissin 4 pots than service the 6 pots with new seals, this didn't stop me rebuilding them completely, but it didn't help much.

Not sure what else to say, but I'm back in love with bikes again Thumbs Up

I'll keep an eye out for any ZX7R's hurtling towards me Mr. Green

Looks great!

There was a guy on here with that paint scheme (was his name killa?), and he took the stickers off the side panels.

It looked great, but the bike looks great either way.

Hope you enjoy it.

EDIT: yup, i've found it: https://www.zxforums.com/forums/zx-7r-forum/7997-ok-guys.html

That bike always stuck in my head for some reason.

I also think they look great in green and white.

What happened to Killa anyway?
I remember reading his entertaining bike history chapters, wishing I could write something as interesting.

The last bike I remember him having was the black/yellow ZX7R.

Had a job where they had a militant management and it killed my forum time. Eventually I just stopped posting.
No reason really. I have more to add to the history now. Perhaps i will now Wink

Sadly I am selling my 7r after only a year or so of ownership. I bought a Deauville over winter and that has opened my eyes to comfort....

The zx7r is something else, I love it with a passion, but unfortunately whenever I get on it I'm made aware of just how uncomfy it is Sad I had my last one for 5 years and knew it was uncomfy, but I didn't have anything to compare it too so I didn't care.

Anyway, I fancied something else, so I recently picked up an MT09, nice and upright, lovely motor. Doesn't have a sound that comes close to the 7r though, the 7r air box howl is pure bliss to hear.
My shed isn't roomy enough to take 2 bikes long term so unfortunately she is going, someone is coming Sunday to take a look. So there is a chance it will be gone at the weekend Crying or Very sad

Good to see you back killa Thumbs Up

Predictably he loved it, lets face it, it isn't far off from being a minter Crying or Very sad

Plus side is I have some shed space again and can actually use my shed for something other than bike storage.

Sad day, here she is this morning before loaded into the van, no idea if the new owner is on here or not?
