Brand new alpine star SMX plus. Squeak like a mouse on the job.

But i have the cure......

Mucoff, discovered by accident when over spray went on boots but it totally eliminated the squeaking.Only needs reapplying about once a week so i do it when i clean the bike.

I feel like this thread best represents generations of BCF'ers gone by but have no idea how a conversation about squeaky boots hasn't been killed with fire by now.

I've got some catching up to do. Laughing

Holy mother of thread resurrections, the names on that first page brings back some memories. One of being woken at 4am by a Chinchilla seems to loom largest...

Kin ell! This is one old thread Eh?

It’s good to know that it’s not only us newbies that talk shite. Smile
It’s heartwarming to know BCF were talking crap back then as well as now Thumbs Up

Squeeky boots Laughing nearly as bad as asking about washing bike jeans or talking about DIESEL engined bikes Folded arms Laughing

Oh and by the way : my nice shiny new RST boots are devoid of any squeek Thumbs Up .

After 15 years, have you managed to stop them squeaking?

Should we be concerned about sparky93 as this is the only thread he's ever posted in?

You'll be pleased to know that my boots still squeak despite the minimal usage for the last 4 months.

My Alpinestars Corozal's squeak with the best of them.

Modern Sidi's seem to have lost some of their squeak - my last two pairs have barely made a noise, my current pair are near silent.

The thread may squeak on, but Sidi's do not!

some one should develop an app - your phone detects walking paced movement via GPS and triggers samples of boots squeaking, in time with the movement. The app would feature a list of different boot squeaks to choose from - SIDI ST, SIDI Rex Air, SIDI Fucktard, whatever. All the usual bollocks. The actual boots you're wearing are just some cheap shit from last season's Infinity range - but the power rangers at the caf don't notice cos they just hear the squeak-squeaking of the walk - "yeah dem definitely STs bro," "nah fam - dat squeak is all Rex Air innit."

Could also have comedy sounds too - including crushed mouse, injured vole, damaged human fetus...all sorts.

What sound does a damaged human fetus make?

Go with the flappy sole, I did for about 9 months (til it completely detached), was tempted to glue a tongue in for extra fun.
