2015 on a 10 day trip me and a m8 went the alps just about 3000miles covered, 1st night in Lyon from Leicester via the tunnel(1st day was all motorways but it was to serve a purpose so we didn't mind to much), Very boring day though) then to Castellane(2nd night) via Mont Ventoux and Verdon Gorges, after that it was Gorges du Cian, col de la Bonette, col d l'zord, Lanesvillard(3rd night here) Col de l'Iseran, Bourg st Maurice and over the Petit st Bernard into Italy and rode over till we got to Porlezza on Lake Lugano(4th night) onto Gavia Pass, Stelvio, Dobbiaco toblach (5th night) Grossglockner and back into Switzerland just outside of Maloa(6th night) Maloa pass, Splugen pass, San bernadino, Tremola, Furka, Grimsel, Susten pass, Rappersville(7th night) Baden to Baden Baden on and around the b500(8th night) headed over to Lille(9th night)
and then back home via the ferry
we where doing around 250 (as a minimum) mile days for the most of it, some went way over though, the 1st day down to Lyon was 650. its been the best trip i've been on to date by a mile and well worth the effort imo. Just had to re write the trip on Tyre just to remember the bloody route lol, have it saved if you want the file. |

That does sound like a brilliant trip. Think I'd have wanted a bit longer, and to stay in one or two places for a day or two though. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Yeah, my busted frame needs a rest now and again
Although, I still usually got out and about every day, but some places are worth exploring further for roads and scenery. But like I said, yours sounds like a good trip, covering a lot of interesting ground. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
