Mine? In a cold sweat with a tissue in one hand and a dead chicken in the other when the wife walks in.

Stain removed with white vinegar and water and then whole carpet done with 'shake n vac' Success Thumbs Up

Wifie got home this morning, made a cup of coffee and then said

- what have you spilled?

- nothing dear, why would you think that?

-there's an empty shake n vac in the pedal bin, you never use that unless you have to.

Brick Wall Bloody woman goes through the bins. I should have dumped it in the dustbin.

Anyway, I've admitted nothing and she hasn't said anything about a stain so I reckon I'm in the clear, Dance!

Cheers all for the suggestions.

No, I don't think so

I doubt I could ever get another model that would put up with my idiosyncrasies and I wouldn't know where to go to get a new one. I haven't been to a disco for 30 years Laughing

Although I suppose I could join

You can tell it's been 30 years if you're calling it a disco Wink

School discos were the source of much of my teenage disappointment, except this one time when it was fancy dress.
I went as a vampire and got my hands the girl in school who had the largest boobs in my year. She ended up with one
of the school bullies years later but it was a memorable night for a couple of very sticky reasons, I bet she's
stained a few carpets in her time too. Laughing

School disco...excuse to run riot around other parts of the school. Need some Busen burner gas in a balloon or smoke a ciggie in the extractor unit then off the Chemistry labs we go.
Rob the kit-kat machine...again. Write wanker and anarchy...on each other. More robbing of the tuck shop..Classic distract and liberate technique employed.
Re-join Disco...dance with Dawn...snog Dawn...finger Dawn by the side of the old barn.

The later discos were a different matter altogether.

Only have enough petrol in the Chevette to get to club and back....- overpriced club is overpriced and overly full of yuppie types and out of place herberts like me.
Nurse my orange cordial, surreptitiously ogle and eventually after getting turned down a few times end up dancing. Dancing is awkward as I can perform three types of movement 1. Pogo
2. Full on rave (which at this point was not invented).
3. Stuck to partner like velcro.

Leave club alone or give a lift and drop them off.
Go home and wait until I discovered festivals in '85. Get laid.

Disco became rave became techno and jungle and trance and bigbeat and superclub (where my new pogo-rave hybrid was enjoyed by the pristine princesses and the tanned macho males )and those times were the best 'Disco' years...Not so much the superclubs...nor the piss soaked raves but the all nighters..the Club nights at Hardtimes...Sankeys....Academey...afterparties Dance!

From the distaff side, my vote goes for just getting a snazzy and more expensive new rug as a love-token.

You should be ashamed of yourself about the empty Shake and Vac container: leaving it in the bin was a noob error. Shocked

Next time, put a load of (empty) beer cans underneath it, then you can claim The Boys came round and stunk the place out (beer, fags, mansweat) ... so you had to use Shake n Vac to make it feel human again Laughing
