I'm aftet a tablet that I can watch movies and tv series on from show box. Currently using my mobile to catch up on tv series as I've only got a normal hd tv. Don't fancy upgrading it till the sales as I rarely watch any tv on there anyway. It doesn't have a usb port to stream from a pendrive.

So can anyone suggest a good tablet Question

Anything other than iPad and tablets are pretty much dead these days. There's so little competition you get very poor value for money in my opinion. I'd reconsider upgrading the TV. There are constantly sales on, don't be fooled by "black friday specials" as they're often not the deal they're suggested to be.

Buy a 'smart' blu ray player for about 80 quid and plug it to your TV. It'll be cheaper and look nicer on the TV than the tablet ever will.

I have a Sony which has Amazon and Netflix, and also allows you to connect a NAS which enables me to watch all of my movies on one unit, blu ray, nas, from my PC, Netflix, Amazon, iPlayer, Demand 5, DVD the whole lot. I have everything in a single box The only things it's missing are ITV player and 4 on demand, which I rarely use anyway.

I have a BDP-S3500, but it seems that's discontinued now.

The only reason to use a tablet to watch movies is if you want to watch it in bed or on the move, or something like that.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I've already got a blu ray player the PS4 which is the only reason I've got the Tv and I've found myself coming away from that now as well.

I have a Kindle Fire 7, I watch my dvd rips of box sets, expandable memory to 64GB and it's only £49.

I also use it rarely for catch up TV services, works just fine.

My older and out of date tablets were just as good, Acer Iconia range which have newer models at around £80-£120.
