Does anybody know of a 12v to micro-USB converter that doesn't have low voltage protection? I have a dash cam hard-wired to my car with a converter that has a low-voltage protection which is supposed to prevent deep battery drain. However I have it wired to an ignition-live fuse but the low-voltage cutout cuts out when I start the car, as the voltage momentarily dips. I suspect the low-voltage setting is too high, but don't have the means to test this. Lots of these hard-wire kits have low-voltage protection that I don't want or need. I found one with an 8-24v input range, but the USB cable on it is only 30cm long, meaning the converter box has to be right by the camera, rather than hidden with the fusebox (and I'd rather not use extender cables).

Just loop it though a battery bank.

If you can solder, there are fucktons of populated boards out there. Most will give you a standard USB A output port that you can chuck in any lead you need. Searching "USB buck PCB" or similar should get you something. Emphasis on the Buck, not Boost - Buck is for dropping voltage, boost is the opposite. The specs should tell you low-voltage cut-off's, current rating etc.
