Lulz, that might explain the "disorder" at the scene. Also, I hear that the Kawasaki ER650 is a "moped" now.

Tong Councillor Alan Wainwright might want to check his knee to see about this jerking: "A lad on a motorbike was knocked over by a taxi. The air ambulance was called. I feel for the family."

You must question your thieving capabilities when you crash so close to the place you robbed that the air ambulance, that has to come and scrape you up from the road, has to land on the grounds of the property you just robbed?

I mean, I doubt he's questioning much at the moment other than "Whats that bright light over there?", but my point still stands

Bristol rather than London...

Police warn not to name Bristol 'Bike Taker Gang' online as hunt goes on for thief

Victim of the theft said police told him 'there's nothing we can do without photo evidence of him with my bike'

Police chiefs hunting the notorious ‘Bristol Bike Taker’ gang have said naming suspects on social media could actually hinder their investigations, as the hunt continues for another vintage bike stolen at the weekend.

The man leading Operation Buell, the Avon and Somerset police operation set up to tackle motorbike thefts in Bristol, said people posting names on Instagram and Facebook took resources away from actually finding the stolen bikes.

Intelligence led policing uses all available sources, even when those sources are not reliable. They don't have to treat them as such. There's a whole process for that.

Perhaps Bristol Plod are doing some other form of policing.

Not this one, Shirley?

Funny review from a, probably former, Honda PCX 125 owner:

wrote:
To anyone who thinks this will stop a determined thief You are a FOOL nothing will stop a determined thief. That said
this are big Heavy Locks and do the job of deterring thief's (well it has so far)..

Irony on dat usage of the word fool, yo.

I'm convinced half the problem is that most people are clued up about Almax or Pragmasis and why would you, to be fair, when they're sort of out of the way and you need to be told about them for them to be found.

Silly sods. Talking amongst ourselves is really doing no good, though, given we're all aware of how useless Oxford are when it comes to security. Oxford need publicity love like RainPal.

Message to ste: I replaced that Oxford disc lock. You're going to have to give the potential special name badge to someone else in the event of theft. Mucho thankeo.

..

Clickly.

Asda host a special 2-for-1 deal: bike theft of a chained bike and an attempt cash van robbery (10th April).

Fails to mention what chain, though.

It doesn't, really. The cash van robbery attempt on the 10th April is probably the reason why its been published in an attempt to create awareness, or scaremongering, of the crime wave at that location.

Also in the news at the moment: road sealed off and police in attendance, gang member fires at another gang members house and gets arrested for organising it, car jacking attempt with knife and a couple of other joyous articles to complete your sunny Thursday.

We're not with you, yet, but not far away.

"De Silva, of no fixed abode, was left battered with two black eyes and he has been sent to a young offenders institution for 18 months at Isleworth Crown Court after pleading guilty to a string of offences.

The teenager's offending also saw him breach a six month sentence suspended for 24 months he received in February last year for dangerous driving when he hit the pavement before driving on the wrong side of the road.

He pleaded guilty to eight charges; three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of criminal damage, handling stolen goods, a single count of assault with intent to resist arrest and breaching a previous suspended sentence."
