Retrieved it from the police recovery compound.
Good screen replaced with an ugly piece of shit.
Givi rack removed.
Ingition trashed and hotwired.
Fuel tank lock trashed.
Scratches on the fairing, probably when they stole it as it's a tight fit to get out.
Clutch and brake levers broken from being dropped. At least once in my backyard as I have the end of the brake lever!
Numberplate missing.
Apart from that it seems to be in one piece, was not abandoned - they had it parked up on an industrial estate in Bradford and two of them were coming back on a probabky nicked sportsbike for it while the police were with it - fucked off at warp speed when they spotted the copper.
Annoying but at least I got it back. Now excuse me while I upgrade my security. It may only be a 22yo Divvy but it's MY Divvy, cunts. |

Right, so yesterday I decided that today Im going to sort out my main tank and repaint it to get rid of the crazy paving...
Originally I was just going to mask off the main affected area an then strip that but instead i went and stripped the majority of the tank.
Sadly it took far far longer and multiple applications of nitronox (spelling?) to get all the paint off... The previous owner who did a really dodgy paint job used some strange paint that reacted strangely to the stripper. It melted rather that blistered.
Anyway managed to strip it down and do some rust aciding and filled the small dent before sunset... Ill prep and paint it tomorrow...
I have new stickers on the way.

Finished testing the charging system and a bunch of other general maintenance items, then gave it a absolute spanking on the twisty lanes around here. All the good feelings came flooding back from taking all the way down to Croatia and the alps last year. Finally getting time to get out on this one too! After riding the divvy around for all of winter the SV feels like heaven in handling comparison
Prepping it for a tour to the south of france and the alps at the end of next month. Just need do coolant, brake fluid and measure rear cylinder cam chain slack and shes good to go.
Kept side panels off just to check voltages half way through the ride and its charging fine with the new RR kit.

After changing flywheel and stator coil today I rode my Fireblade for the first time I went for genuine upgraded Honda parts. It fixed my battery charging problems that ended my last year season early.
Old stator coil was all black and burned. ____________________ Current Bike: Yamaha XSR900 Previous bikes: Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja, Aprilia RS125 2-stroke |

12k. I'm assuming it was the original.
Turns out 12k is the service schedule air filter change.

Fixed a puncture on the way to work at 06:00 this morning.
Initially tried a Stop 'N Go plug which didn't work and so tried again with a sticky string which did. ____________________ Suzuki Bandit 1250

Started the fork rebuild, then decided the fork sliders were too tatty to go back on as they were. After an hour of sanding, cleaning, etch primer and more cleaning, they received a couple of coats of Hammerite smooth silver.
Banged em in the oven for half an hour at 85C, but the paint is not hard enough yet, so I'll be finishing it off whenever time permits.
Baked potato done straight after tasted fine ____________________
