I just noticed how few people there are on here this evening, probably because of the weather. I went to the pub with
the wife and dog at lunchtime and had a pint (My preferred pub does Thatchers Cider Slush and it's VERY popular.)
I drive there so just had the one in the pub then came home for food, one thing led to another and I put a couple of
ice cold bottles of Proper Job down the hole too and now I can't go out on the Spacker.
Anyone else can't ride tonight? Whatever the reason? Kids, booze, work, broken bike etc ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Social riding? Excuse me while my commuting self attempts to understand that alien concept of enjoyment.
Amount of spakards on the road believing their driving capabilities to be higher than the reality seems to have increased because sun and dry roads, laughable. Also the fact that its not half-term means heavy traffic for the majority of the day.
Might go for a jaunt to test new textile trouser vents soon, any excuse. ____________________ The do it all, T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶r̶o̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶,̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶i̶g̶ ̶l̶u̶m̶p̶,̶ ̶C̶h̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶N̶o̶o̶d̶l̶e̶ |

I feel similarly about commuting on a bike. I imagine being a porn star is the same kind of thing, when you do a fun thing
for work, it stops being special. Take some comfort in the fact that you are a porn star on a motorbike. You'll be needing those vents. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

I really couldn't be bothered to get the bike out so I went down the boat and did some painting. Then went to the pub for a couple of pints. Went back to the boat and watched the world go by with a glass of ice cold Strongbow.
I was going to fish, but it was really to hot for them to bite so just sat there watching women in blatantly see through summer dresses walk by.

There ain't nothing wrong with people that commute 5-6days a week on the bike, and use it as a tool for the job then chuck it in the garage all weekend and do other interesting things in life or other hobbies.
There's even nothing wrong with someone who uses a bike for A-B or commuting to keep the mileage down on their weekend sunny day car that's their play thing/toy.
Its just the other way round to how alot of people do it, but neither is wrong.
Oh and to answer OP I can't ride as I've not seen one of my bikes for over 8 months now.
The other one is just a scabby frame in the shed, and having sorted out some boxes of parts, I can't decide if to de-rust and prep the fuel tank for painting or rebuild a set of forks for it as the next job. Neither would get it on the road as it's got no engine or wiring loom and I don't like wiring so that's a never never job. |
