Had my Divvy nicked but the Police actually got it back and it's in fairly good condition apart from the locks and being hotwired.

However, what I don't understand is why they removed the seat latch so the seat is just loose. I can't see anything wrong under there but what should I be looking for?

Pure vandalism, yo.

Could have been to aid in their hot wiring antics or to look for a tracker. I wouldn't, however, presume they have even a singular brain cell.

Nowt, I'd say.

Cynical side of me says a tracker planted by t-leafs so can steal back for the lulz.

Probably worth running it on a budget because stolen recovered. People on here that don't use steering locks because more damage to repair if recovered. Can't shed much more light than that, though.

People keep stuff under the seat. A spare fiver in a bag, a puncture repair kit, tools. Worth a look if you're a thief.

It's where I keep Shergar's testicles and my share of the Brink's-Mat bullion.
