Got a new secondhand (apparently rarely used) scanner, and it seems no matter what I do the scans are dusty. There's a dust removal setting in the scanner software, but it slightly distorts the image and can also remove details.
Without dust removal tool:

Any ideas? I don't recall having this issue before with other scanners, they were lower resolution but this is a 300dpi scan. I've cleaned the glass with a lint free cloth/proper cleaner as well. |
