Thinks he's being all clever giving the police the finger

Doesn't really warrant a custodial sentence though does it,a massive fine and ban would be more appropriate I think.

As far as I can tell, it's perfectly legal to give the police, or anyone else for that matter, the finger.

Deliberately driving at speed past a scamera van while using a laser jamming device, it turns out, is not. If I were the judge, I'd consider being a Michael Winner clone in a white range rover to be an aggravating factor.

Guy looks like a knob, but a fine plus costs would have made more sense than a custodial sentence that is going to cost. He should have just gotten pissed and caused a multi car crash. You get fined less than a week's wages.

Laser jammers work, you say?

Why don't they do #BakLayf for perverting the course of justice for riding without plates? It seems to be a far more serious offence than burglary, theft, and robbery.

It's a waste of taxpayers money to put him in prison for that, would be better off fining him. As Rogerborg said above, baklyfe are way worse, perverting the course of justice on stolen bikes while burning others, stabbing people, robbing shops and only getting a slap on the wrist (if that).

Also does 'mobile safety cameras' mean the police who sit in a van around corners or over the crests of hills waiting to catch people speeding? Or are there cameras like this on most city roads and I should be a lot more careful?

Punishment should have been the Judge going out to the carpark and keying the fuck out of his door panels.

Agreed - he looks like an entitled bully (whom I have very little sympathy for), but the custodial seems way OTT relative to other sentencing that we all read about.

A but...

"The judge who jailed Hill said such actions “strike at the heart” of the justice system and his sentence must act as a deterrent to others."

what's fitting for the crime has nothing to do with what the judge was thinking. Shocked

The Law is an Arse.
