You should see a single image If you don't then try setting them up the way I described. Thumbs Up

Which type to buy depends on their use really.

A little off topic, but, Binoculars! it may sound daft but how do you use them? I've been given some in the past and they always seem poor, yes I understand the magnifying bit, but the view ie double vision single vision or what? What should I see when looking through them or how should I see through them?

'GIVEN' binoculars and telecopes maybe the problem.

There is a very important rule for binoculars.

It's entirely age related too.

It is to do with how much light your pupil can let into your eye.

Younger eyes pupils dilate wider so more light gets in.

There is an important ratio for pupil diameter and lens.

spent a few hours setting up and balancing the rig
mounted the ED 80 as a guide scope / secondary imaging / solar scope
had to add the extender to the ES to get prime focus and the wedge to the ED for the same reason
used a pylon 2 miles a way to align the scopes and orientate the camera's

now all I need is clear skies Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

How often do any of you collimate your scopes? Had ours a few years and it's never been done.

I bought a laser doofur to pollinate (Effing Mobile COLLIMATE) my skyveiw scope.

It wasn't too difficult.
Carbs balance on a Yamaha Thunderace are much more annoying.

The trick it to double check the setting then check again then if needed make tiny adjustments (baw-hairs).
