Hi all,

Bought a 1999 r6 last year, did about 200 miles on it and its been garaged for a year. Its only done 7000 miles but when i bought it the carbs needed cleaning/balancing so got that done and it rode like a dream.

Anyway after being in the garage for a year and not been ridden at all i got it insured, taxed, mot'd and a service on it yesterday. Took it out today and have been out pretty much all day on it, but it is missfiring. Fine top end but when slowing down it is missfiring quite a bit.

Any guesses as to what it could be or how i could sort it? Is it bad for the bike to be doing this?

Cheers

Aside from the fact that I don't understand why people expect to leave stuff in the garage for 6 mopnth and then expect it to work when they get it out on the first sunny day of the year...

Popping on the over-run is usually the exhuast. Listen for it to be blowing somewhere.
