Thinking of changing bikes soon and would be the usual mce super high excess. Only time i would claim would be a complete loss. Has anyone had success with these excess protect schemes pike Goodbye excess?

A workmate did. I dropped his brand new (like, fresh from the showroom) Bandit, then he dropped it, repeatedly, on both sides. A couple of years later, he took out excess cover and no claims protection, then claimed for the lot as a single claim.

He got a shiny repaired bike, and wasn't out of pocket more than the cost of the excess cover (about £30, I believe) and the hike from having made an at fault claim (but not the loss of NCD).

If that doesn't troll arry into coming back from the grave, I don't know what will.
