Hi,

I have got.a gsxr srad 600 and it's running like a bag of poo

The bike had sat for 2 years without being run and I decided to put it back on the road his year.

The bike just wouldn't idle and died if it was revved.

I took the carbs off, cleaned the jets Etc and re-installed.

The bike runs a bit better but has got flat spots and won't go over 4 k revs

It has got standard air box and filter, and an aftermarket back box

Any help much appreciated

I'd do that. Again.

Also, check for air leaks, especially the rubber pipes between the airbox and the carb. They fall apart after a few years.

What about the vacuum diaphragm rubbers and carb slide movements?

If it worked prior to standing for 2 years, assuming you've made no changes to the fueling since it was running, but won't run now, then you probably just need to clean everything again like everyone so far has said.

Check fuel filters, check the fuel tap isn't blocked with tank crud (if the tank was near empty when you stood it up, it may have rusted), check the fuel line hasn't been pinched etc, check seals around the airbox and intake etc.

Oh and fresh fuel

Have you checked that you have sparks at all 4 cylinders?

I really need advice now please.

Stripped the carbs again and then I randomly noticed that the needles were different lengths.

I bought new needles and installed them. There are currently set to third notch. There is 5 in total.

I put the carbs back on and decided to start the bike.

The bike runs really bad still.

I have got a carb tune pro and decided to try balance the carbs.

The problem is now there seems to be no vacuum at the carb tune pro. There is no movement at all. What could possibly be wrong?? I've got an MOT tomorrow any advice appreciated
