Hi folks.

Wondering if anyone knows how the hell this fuel pump is supposed to be wired.

I've got a black/blue wire and a green wire. Bl/b one goes from the connector into the pump.

The green wire bolts to the housing as you can see. The issue is that there's a clear wire not connected to anything that has continuity from the connector at the bl/b wire.

Can't figure it out and the other pump is totally knackered...

Help!

It looks like it's supposed to be connected to the central pin

The central pin spins apparently - at least it does by hand. Couldn't see anywhere that it could have been soldered to...

And if I do connect it, It shorts out since the casing is bolted to the earth wire.

Probably worth noting that the clear wire does appear to be powered

Its a 2 wire diaphram fuel pump.

The following is a guess but probably accurate.
At some point the points inside have been replaced and someones soldered in a new wire, so ignore the clear bit of cable.
Chances are the points need replacing again.

The shaft when the pump works will go in and out not spin although it is free to rotate.
So, check the points they will be worn out, replace.
