I'd like some road ish kobbly tyres , I've had a good google but I'm a bit lost , anyone have any ideas .

The sizes are 110 / 70 / 17. , 130 / 70 / 17 .

Thanks in advance

Looks a bit savage that for a road bike. I once crossed the alps on a CB250RS with my ten year old son on the back and a load of camping gear. It was enough adventure on the D1091.

Probably better doing it on a bike that you can pick up rather than a 260kg GS, or worse case, just leave it there and walk away.

No idea about the tyres though, I await edification.

I'm not knocking the plan. It's the lack of tyres that'll halt it. Plus riding there on an er5 with anything knobbly could be a very dangerous enterprise. If you can fit a 120 on the front, I'd look at continental tkc 70s or Bridgestone trailwings.

Erm, nothing wrong with that, I wouldn't have full knobblies though.

People have them on sports bikes and don't have an issue. If you were going fucking nuts however - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PBsH4Xry9U Laughing

I thought it was a stupid question but hay .

I've got a good running but shitty ER so doesn't matter if I kill it .

I was thinking road biased kobbles as yes , im riding it there .

Maybe just new tyres then .

Whatever happens it should be fun .

Cheers

Thank you for the tip Kental .

The continental tkc 70s look like the sort of thing , they must be ok for the road surely if the big old ass GS are using them ?

Maybe go on my c90 stead , that would piss it .

If you know someone in the tyre trade, they can tell you exactly what'll fit on those rims. Pirelli scorpions (mt90?) also good on road and work in light mud and gravel.
