I know the hipster movement is helping to boost vinyl sales lately, I don't think they'd realyl be interested in my 00's trance records.

I have two flight cases full along with another soft record bag.

Am I just better off going to a 'we want your records' type shop and asking for a job lot price? I suspect the flight cases are worth more than the records themselves!

I'm having a clear out so a lot of this stuff has to go. Can't really hang onto it any longer!

That's pretty much what I did. I tried listing them on ebay, more hassle that it's worth to be honest.. I did have pretty much 800 albums to get rid of !!

Still got some now, as at the time they wouldn't fit in the boxes I was dropping them off in.

I love records, I have hundreds, I would look to buy them if you have a price. PM if you want.

Some records you just can't sell and have to give away to charity shops. You could do what many ebay sellers do and offer them as a job lot, but add a few knackered versions of collectable records to reel in the bids...

You can make unusual plant pot holders with them.
Place over an up-turned clay/terracotta plant pot.
Pour boiling water over the LP.

Et vwa la, Wavy Planter.

And other suff

I met a guy a few weeks ago who gets by on two days a week working in a chippy and selling his old record collection on eBay. I think you'd be surprised; his stuff wasn't exactly ancient or classic by the sound of it.

A little internet work and maybe some legwork to a record shop and make a nice wee profit.

Sort the wheat from the chaff. Wheat on ebay chaff to record shop.
