I didn't use the adjustable spanners.
I have ordered a six sided socket.
I am waiting for its arrival before I proceed. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!
This bloody bike! Missed the delivery of the socket last Friday because I was out having my van MOT'd.
Had to wait over the long weekend for redelivery because bank holiday. Drivers just turned up with a split open padded
envelope with an invoice and a little ziplock bag in it. Socket whereabouts unknown. Could be on the floor in his
(packed) van, could be at the depot. Just ordered a set on sockets from elsewhere which may be here by the 4th.
How can a bleeding oil change take so much effort. FFS! ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Update - MOT monday, lets see how she does.
Changed brake shoes on Thursday, cleaned drum out with brake cleaner and lubed up the cam mechanism. Pedal
working properly now, brake no longer binding.

I only had copperslip available but tbh the bike would really benefit from a new chain and sprocket kit soon. I'll make sure
I use grease next time it's in bits. I'd have to go buy some first.
Changed oil today, was unsurprised to see that it was in pretty poor
condition, and about half the quantity that should have been in there.

That's what I'd expect oil from a diesel engine to look like. Filthy.

It should have come to the line if it had enough oil in there. All that's left for me to do assuming a pass on Monday is
to fit a new front L plate on the fork leg and I can get rid of this from my back yard. Next and hopefully final update on Monday. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

The 6 sided socket I bought worked great, it was done up really very tightly indeed so it was a wise purchase. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

I do believe that's a clean sheet. Time for him to have it back. I'l drop it over this evening.
Big thanks of course to Nobby and everybody else who took the time to respond, even you Tef.
Let's hope he can keep it the right way up now. I've kind of enjoyed tinkering with it too if I'm honest. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
