14 year old yoof arrested for 7 moped muggings in an hour. As predicted, target the wrong area, and the Blue Thunder of the Met will roll on you.

They're really, reeeeeeeeeeeally proud of those GSes, aren't they?

Pretty much, but if they could target a high court judge, a cabinet minister, or Lily Allen, that would be just super.

Not quite london, but close, but it seems there have been quite a few MC/Moped crimes round here of late:

https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/16281199.Man_in_60s_rushed_to_hospital_after_being_attacked_with_breeze_block/

Edit: now I remember that Burnham Beeches is actually owned by the City of London so all relevant Very Happy

But

"The watch was actually a fake, as the victim had become so concerned about robberies in the area, he had stopped wearing his real Rolex."

So they'll be robbing his house next, then.

I had a 'moment' this week in Waterloo where I could see a couple of guys on a Honda SH with flip lids on eyeing up for a mark; I realised I'd become the target. Straight back into the train station and out the other side. Seems they're only interested when it's easy.

Mat Oxley, TT winner, Motogp journalist and author was chased on his T-Max recently. Said he jumped on the scooter as they were trying to nick it (removed panels) and rode off.

Am him not?

It's OK though - MetPlod are typing the word "moped" into far fewer crime reports.

I trust he got the usual lecture about being responsible because he was flaunting his hot, naked phone at them.

I don't suspect he reported it, because he was ashamed at his own stupidity expecting to be able to walk around with an iPhone on show. Tease.

I hope he did report it, not least because then there would be proof it actually happened. It was a handy anecdote though.

Mmm, I am beginning to wonder if Javid is going to turn out to be a serial #MeTooer.

Still, even if he's only #VictimSignalling, he does seem to have initiated the long process of letting Dredd be above the law when mowing down bikers.
