I believe the James Younger gang have been spotted hiding out near Ardrossan.

I'm going to say yes, they are. But they're called the McOutlaws, and instead of motorbikes, they sit astride flying haggises captured in the highlands. They taunt the polis by bending over and mooning at them, and their sporrans contain savoury treats for their trusty winged steeds!

I've not seen a backpatch that wasn't 21 in Scotland for years.

You do know that most bike riders don't wear patches and really don't want to have anything to do with people who wear patches?

How about you don't come on our forum and get arsy with us because we don't care about your problem?

Says the person asking why a criminal gang doesn't share information about what they are doing.

I don't think any of us on here are under any illusions about what these lads can get up to. Use some common sense, or we'll get arsey. They don't fund the lifestyle with an inheritance from Granny. Is it all of them? Maybe not, but it's certainly well known to anyone that has had cause to have casual contact with clubs. The law proving it in court is a different matter entirely.

If you know the bloke in the club and want to pay your respects, or whatever, then go through other channels, not ask questions on an open forum. Even kiddos new to bikes learn this shit quickly enough.

Ok. Question answered. No, there are no outlaws in Scotland anyone is aware of (or none who would openly fly their colours at any rate) and yes, they are very secretive anyway.

No further good will come of this. 4 posts in and OP is offering people out by PM.

See if you can find your friend on facebook. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

Depends what you mean by back, and patch. It doesn't seem particularly well enforced. Capped from about 30 seconds of one MCC meet this year:

Not MC patches, but I don't see a lot of 'education' going on about where patches should be worn.

The Clyde Valley Harley Owners Group are Hardley 1%ers, and yet...

I was told H.O.G are given special dispensation. I presume because they're a complete fucking joke and no-one, even joe public, would confuse them for an actual MC.
