Last time my injector needed cleaning i just replaced it with a second hand one from my old bike.

A year later the replacement needs cleaned. Rather than buy another i thought i'd have a bash at cleaning the old one...

I fired a 9v battery onto it and tried to force some injector cleaner through from a can as seen on some youtube vids. I couldn't get it to spray at all, i hear the clicking on the injector when i apply power.

Should i be giving it more voltage? or is there something i'm missing when doing this?

Bike is a suzuki gz125.

Cheers

GZ125 or Address125?
make yer mind up
Anyway 2 port probably means your 'injector' is a discharge pump and the second port a return

suzuki marauder gz 125 2011, that is the injector for it that i posted although it says for different model.

as you might have guessed i know shit about bikes! that link i posted is the item in question, confirmed with part numbers.

Whats the difference . injector . / discharge pump? the system behind it...

How does the pump work? And can it be cleaned?

Conventional injectors use a pressurised supply from a pump often in or near the tank and the injectors hold back this pressure until triggered by the controller when they open briefly to allow a bit of fuel into the inlet manifold.

DCPs are gravity/low pressure fed and when triggered, actually pump
the fuel in the manifold themselves so they're actually a pump and injector in one.

Thanks for the explanation, any idea how it can be cleaned, or am i best just trying one of the fuel additive things and try that?
