"Results revealed cycling was quickest taking seven minutes while riding a bus was the slowest at 18 minutes" it then goes on to list the times where the motorcyclist was the quickest.. don't let the facts get in the way of a good story! unless they are just bundling all two wheeled transports together?

Although to be fair for a journey of that length I would prefer to be on a pushbike given the choice.

2.2 miles is not a race across London. Sad

Anyway, they should have used a boat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkOzNK4l8KY

What... the... actual... forks? Laughing

Even for the Daily Fail, that's hilariously poor journalism. Clapping

Apropos my point about London's root problem being overcrowded with worthless parasites, the pedalist "works as head of communications at a trade union".

Sutton (outermost borough of London, where I live) to London Bridge (central London, where I work): 12 miles each way

-by motorbike: 45 minutes average
-by public transport: 1 hour 15 minutes including walking time to the door
-by work van: 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes average
-by bicycle: 2 hours and arrive drenched in sweat.

These are actual times recorded by me.

Id rather die than cycle through central London, though tbh you'll probably die anyway if you do cycle there. Either Sanjeeb's minicab ramming you off the road, Vladimir Smirnoff's drunk HGV crushing you to death, the next Chris Froome wannabe forcing his way past you because he wants to pedal 0.02mph faster and cutting you up, Chelsea taking darling Tarquin to school in her Range Rover thinking the cycle lanes are ok to drive in. And then you have the fuckwit tourists on Boris Bikes wobbling all over the place, having never rode a bike before and thinking itll be a bit of a laugh to hire one of these and pedal around the city with no protective gear.

Fuck London, its shit. Im so glad I live and work on the outskirts, even thats bad enough. I'd rather be unemployed than have to commute into central London.

I did try to warn people with the (DM) in the title and not url tagging the link Very Happy

I have tried to get my google news feed to block all DM stories but it still seems to pop in every now and then, I guess they must pay google mega bucks to always be included.

Daily Heil stories do tend to contain some crumbs of actual information; you just need to ignore the editorial and headlines.

In this case, it seems the pedalist actually followed some road traffic laws, which would explain them being pipped by the biker. If they rode like an actual pedalist, I'm sure they would have been faster.
