After something smaller to commute to work sold the scooter for profit as it was too slow going up hills. So I've been offered a hartford 125 it's a gn copy. Will be having fresh mot plus a good service.
Tiny bit of rust here and there including a cracked front mudguard. Now I've been offered it for £350. Just after opinions currently doing about 200 miles a week.
So would you or wouldn't you. The commuting by the way is all 30mph roads. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

"Never in my life have I worked on such a piece of crap!" [etc]
It's probably the best bike you'll get for £350, but I'd have a look at that front brake to see if it's as bad as reported. Also, if you think a scootay was slow up hills, is a 10hp GN copy going to be any better?
You'd just better hope that Tef doesn't emerge from New Bikers and the Workshop or you'll be getting the full "kitt" of PARTES novella. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

The engines generally aren't the problem on Chinabikes, unless they are. By which I mean that if they're maintained they tend to work, unless the crankshaft shears or something equally comically extreme happens.
It's more the Chinesium that the rest of the bike is made of that might give you trouble. But nothing that you haven't dealt with before. Certainly easier to work on than a scootay. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Poor obs, I was more terrorscared by the pads apparently not being secured.
