Everybody loves it naked this year, it seems. But small is perfectly formed, with litre bike sales dropping while everything else firms up. Except tiny tiddlers, no suckers are falling for those.
After Yamaha nipping at their heels a few times, Honda is back to total domination in sales, a full thousand bikes clear and topping custom, naked, scootay, 51-125cc with the PCX, and 126-650cc with the CB650F.
BMW are mounting a strong mechanised thrust though, pipping Thai based manufacturer Triumph for 3rd and 4th. It's a lonnnnnnng fall down to Kawasaki and the rest propping up the rump of the chart, although Suzuki's return to fire-sale finance is paying dividends.
Pretty good news overall though, and plenty of Street Triple RSes out there for pikeys to smash up when they realise they can't hotwire them any more. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
