You'd have been better to post this in The Workshop.

So, you like cats?

So bike has been modified for less power?

And you wonder why it has less power?

De restrict it for full power?

Err... You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how engines work.

Theoretically you could do it, but you'd have to cut the torque produced by the engine to such a point that it may well be unrideable.

I'd rather have half the RPM but all the torque, than the opposite. Or you could just derestrict it to full power.

Marjay is right, and all you need is to apply some of the logic that you have in your brain. Don't go all thick teenager on us!

Someone the other day on a forum said, 'can anyone help me as my 125 is only revving and pulling to 9000rpm, but it's got 13k on the clock at the end of the red zone. How do I get my missing Revs back?' Brick Wall

Enjoy it and stop moaning, my SV is restricted in the carbs which means I loose all kinds of power.

A restricted MT07 is still so much fun Smile most of its power is within the 6k Smile
