Oh and don't ever even think about coming on here and saying I sold the Sti to buy a house. That is the sort of behaviour that should get a bloke shot in the head!

dont worry thats not happening! the main criteria of the house im looking for is a garage big enough for a car and a bike - and to be able to work on the car in it! I'd live above a garage tokyo drift esque if there was anything like that in the UK!

I was about to say, this seems to be a popular style of house on new building developments round my way, there is a guy who lives down the road from me in what i can only describe as a flat above a garage, and he must have at least 4 bikes in there that i have seen

My PCP runs out soon (ish) and I have been fortunate enough to be on a bit more money than when i started on it.

This leaves me the luxury of beig able to afford a bit more per month.

My thoughts are between trading in for:

2015 Fireblade ~4000miles
2014 899 Panigale
Keep 600RR and wait till START of next summer so i can ride the bike for more than 3 months
insert other idea here

Just my view as i tend to keep my bike for many years and dont chop and change. As it is on pcp I assume you bought the 600rr new in 2015. If you like it and are happy with the usable power of a 600 then why not pay off the final balance and keep it.

You will lose money when you trade it in and what will those other bikes give you that your 600rr doesnt?

And now that you have a nice bike all paid for, perhaps focus on the house Wink

The main issue is they are a fucker to insulate as you're living room is directly over a big empty cold garage (I used to own one in Leeds), but massive garage is a big plus!

What homo wouldn't have a climate controlled garage to keep his vehicle and its oily contents at a charming 23 degrees.

I live above 3 garages in a similar style property layout, but driveway is on a fair slope, and only one of the garages is ours and that causes no end of inner rage especially knowing that the other garage owners don't use their garages properly for real garage things!

The only way I'll ever be able to properly work on my car is to rent a unit with a 4post lift, and believe me that day is going to come as I'll bash my head into a brick wall soon!

People with large high roof double garages really don't know how lucky they are tbh!

Oh and flats above garage blocks are nothing new at all, I believe they first were built in the UK as council flats over blocks of rented garages probably from the late 60's>.
