Just moved house and about to go with energy supplier called bulb. If a friend refers you then you both get £50... but i don't have any friends....(on bulb)

If you are on bulb then let me know asap and i'll chuck your name in the referral for a free £50.

EDIT:

I'm doing a super duper deal. If you sign up using my link:

bulb.co.uk/refer/dafyddd2448

Then I'll chuck you an extra £20 from the money I receive as a thank you for using my link. This will give you a tidy £70.00 profit. Just let me know when you've used it, and as soon as it shows up I will PayPal you £20.00.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Assuming they are the very cheapest for you and they've not just enticed you with the £50 referral money, you can always resort to getting £30 cashback from topcashback if you can't find anyone who's already a customer. https://www.topcashback.co.uk/bulb/

That is also part of the master plan. They are the cheapest, have decent cashback AND give £50 referral.

Just have to find someone using the cunting provider.

Ah, too late.

Although I did a quote through their website and was told £90pm for all energy needs, that was from clicking on a referral link I find on money saving expert. Then I checked on uSwitch and was quoted £80pm. So did that and got cashback.

I went with a never-heard-of electric/gas supplier last year (Iresa - they came up tops on a price comparison site) - they went bust the other day:

https://www.iresa.co.uk/
Rolling Eyes

I managed to accrue a £500 credit balance with them too (we moved out for 3 months whilst we had some building works done) - Ofgem says not to panic, but I just know I'm gonna get shafted at some point (I'm in supplier-limbo now, can't shift to anywhere else until Ofgem appoint a new supplier - _then_ I can move)
I might stick to a slightly better-known outfit next time.

I switched in May but the outgoing company objected on the basis that I still owed them money (of course, that would be a final bill!) so I paid and asked them to remove their objection but it didn't happen. They're still billing me, and the new company have been Direct Debiting too. After being given the run-around by one and the silent treatment by the other I've cancelled both Direct Debits so the ball is in their court. I've also been confused about how much I'm paying vs using. I think I might go back to British Gas ('leccy only) from a few years back. They asked for meter readings and billed me accordingly.

£5.83 per month for the first year* doesn't sound that great.... that doesn't even cover my shower costs for a week Confused

* worked out at 70/12, but then I haven't factored in the usual winter rise for the annual burst electricity main between the North Pole and the UK Rolling Eyes
