Ste for admin wouldn't ask people if they want to be a moderator since it's easier if the powers were just given to them.

From that point, it would be completely up to them how they use or abuse those powers.

Karma system would be upgraded so that when someone has enough red blobs, all they can do is post in f&fw.

It would be fun.

Im looking at some A2 sports bikes. And I looked at the R6, but obviously you cannot restrict such a bike, or at least i thought because my friend sent me an A2 legally restricted Yamaha R6. So now im confused. Can the Yamaha R6 (any model before 2010), be restricted down to be A2?

As well as can a CBR 600 1993 be restricted down to A2 as well?

You can leave any suggestions for some 600cc A2 restricted/complaint bikes. I am looking for a more sports orientated bike.

Yamaha do an R7 which is an MT07 in a fairing. That can be restricted.

Post the link to what your friend sent you.

Bikes can be restricted to be A2 legal if they've got less than 70 kW to start with. 70 kW is just under 94bhp so the R6 can't be ridden on an A2 license.

Here's the link,
You might need to translate it to English tho.
https://motovlan.be/fr/motorbike/motorbike-listings/yamaha-yamaha-yzf-r6-a2-23598.html

I can safely assume that the kawasaki GPX750R from 1982 and a Honda CBR 900 RR FIREBLADE from 1994 are both bikes that are not possible to restrict down to A2?

Can't be restricted for A2, as it's 106 hp. For the time, that was a LOT of power. You don't want one of those. What you want is a modern bike with modern frame, modern brakes, modern suspension, etc. Just my opinion. That bike's a very archaic formula, and it will be a project bike regardless of how good it looks, etc. It will need work. Modern bikes are just better tech, simple as that.

SZR660? It's based on a famously nimble sportsbike chassis.

That page on motovlan.be doesn't say it's A2 legal, it doesn't say why they've put "A2" in the title but the bike is definitely not A2 legal. Sad

That's not on the list, it might be a tad too powerful.

So i found a triumph tt600i, year 2001.
Its a nice custom cafe race. He shows a photo of the official papers of the KW and cc of the bike. It shows it has an output of 80KW, does this mean i can get the bike Restricted?
Heres the link to the bike. I live in belgium, but the laws for A2 apply for both Uk and Belgium, ik this because my brother rides a motorbike in the UK Smile

The seller says custom cafe racer but isn't it a crashed bike that's had the fairings taken off and a cheap headlight fitted?

From my understanding the description doesnt mention anything about it being a crashed bike. And so can the bike be restricted for A2 or not?

You think it's a nice cafe racer? Shocked

It's a bike thats been dropped and the fairings would cost more than the bike is worth to fix or replace.

I'd be thinking more along the lines of how could I put it out of it's misery.

Regardless of what they do or don't say, it's got all the signs of being crashed and then fixed on the cheap.

They could have called it a rat bike, a streetfighter (set of flat Renthal bars needed for that) or a cafe racer but it's still just a crashed bike that's been fixed on the cheap.

Call it what you will, the fairings are gone and a cheap headlight has been fitted which is how to fix a crashed bike on the cheap.

80kW is more than 70kW so that bike cannot be restricted for A2.
