I have a 1998 GSX750F that`s not running right. Whilst riding it in top end it has a misfire, but this disappears or is less noticeable when I change down through the gears. Before going out and spending loads on parts, I thought I would pick your brains for what may be causing this. I am thinking coils or plugs breaking down under load but I`m not sure how to test this theory.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Third thread on the same topic (why!?) is likely to make the forum disinclined to help. I will ask whether this started when you changed the exhaust. Also, you suppose something is breaking down under load yet you say if you change down (increase the revs) things improve. Suggests carbs to me.
