The Kram did a massive Flounce.
He was not happy with the anti-racist/nazi content of criticism towards him.

A lot of Boers resist the trend to “integrate“. (Even though it is practically impossible, in this day, for 100% integration between races.)

No he didn't. He couldn't give a rats arse about what people thought of him or said to him. Something happened to him in the paradise that is Nelson Mandela's South Africa.

Sounds like a pretty racist policy.

This is back to the argument that black run countries in Africa can't seem to learn from others mistakes.

This isn't a country learning and growing as it makes it's own mistakes, it's a leader currying votes, favours and keeping himself in power at any cost. And that cost will be starvation for many.

Remember reading years ago about one of the starving countries which was part of the British Empire, can't remember which.
"In the 1950's the Brits installed a hydro electric power station, but it fell into disuse after the country's independence".
Dare I saw that might have been a backwards step Confused

In Zaire (the Congo), there is an eight lane highway from the airport to Kinshasa. It was being built by the Belgians when independence happened.

When the Belgians left the road had been completed but every thousand meters or so there was a pedestrian bridge which had the pillars and the top arch but no steps up to it or down. When I went to Zaire in the early 80's it was still exactly the same, even though the death toll for people trying to cross was horrendous.

The airport still hadn't had glass put in any windows, 20 odd years on from when the Belgians left it.

Oh, and the views of Mobutu's helicopters shooting up villages from our station tanker in the mouth of the Congo river were wonderful. Luckily we had grids on all the water intakes, it stopped the bodies getting sucked into the turbines. Thumbs Up

I love well run countries Rolling Eyes

I worked for Gulf Oil then. The money was epic even if the conditions were dire. Laughing
