Hi I have an 07 Triumph Sprint ST 1050. Coming out to the bike turning on the ignition all the lights flashed and you could smell burning. After getting the bike to my local dealer they say they do not know what the problem is and recommend a new wiring loom as it looks like someone has had a go at it before etc but can still not guarantee this will fix it. Does anyeone know of a good bike electrician in the Basingstoke area as I don't want to pour good money after bad and most bike shops seem to shy away from diagnostics?

How have they isolated it?

Get a bridge plug off Triumph and remove it, they're crap and leave you stranded. Simple enough to remove, but you do have to have the tank off. Presume they've already done that if isolated.

Check the fuses in the fuse box,the main 30a bettery fuse has a nasty habit of getting hot and melting the fuse box!its part of the loom.Im in Milton keynes and have replaced a number of fuseboxes on these bikes, its not an easy job as you have to extend the loom to fit a replacement fuse box,if you cant find anyone local give me a call and I can help you out.
